GivingTuesday
Â
The organization that started GivingTuesday, about 10 years ago, did it as a way to encourage people to take one day during this season and do good in the world. According to their website, their mission is to build a world where "generosity is part of everyday life". They state, "Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who
need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give."Â

Â
That mission reminds me of this Bible verse:
Â
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9
Â
Our board of directors knows that as Christ followers, this is something we strive to do daily. Put others above ourselves, love people the way God calls us to, and be generous with what we have. Today is a day that our society has said- let's do this together! And that is a beautiful thing. Whether you can give financially, with your time, with other resources, or with your prayers, we welcome it all!Â
