Fall Updates! Welcome to our fall newsletter! As the leaves change colors and the air has that crisp feeling, we are excited to bring you the latest updates for the fall season. Every day, we get closer to opening and being able to serve our clients! There is no official date yet, but when there is, we will let you know! We have been receiving several calls and emails from supporters wanting to donate material goods. Thank you. At this time, we can't store donations at the building, but if you are able to hold on to them for now, we will send out an announcement when we are able to take the donations at the building. It is wonderful to see the excitement and willingness to help stock our material goods store for the
mothers, fathers, and children we will work with! Check out what we have been up to below! Board of Directors Update - Board of Directors and Governing Board- We continue to seek volunteers and individuals who want to be a part of our board of directors or our governing board. If you feel this being placed on your heart, please contact us! You can email us at info@hopefirstfrc.com or call our Board Chairman: Gigi Owen: 720-654-6075. Thank you for your consideration.
- Projects being focused on by our Board of Directors:
- Creating and updating training materials.
- Updating Volunteer and Employee Handbooks.
- Obtaining a new liability insurance policy through a different company that better fits our needs.
- Researching companies that have fundraising platforms for
non-profits.
- Interviewing individuals who are interested in being a volunteer or on our board.
- Establishing ways for individuals to donate through stocks and other assets. More to come on this process once it is completely finalized.
- Website maintenance and updating.
- Talking to churches, and other organizations, about Hope First as we continue to have people join us in this journey!
Building Renovations Update - We got our permit from the city of Brighton in August! This
was a day of celebration as it took a lot longer than our team expected.
- Our windows were delivered... and are now installed!
- We continued with drywall installation and received a screw inspection for most of the walls. This inspection has allowed for drywall finishing to start.
- We had the overhead wiring for phone and data installed.
- We completed the underground plumbing, received the inspection, backfilled the trench and re-poured the concrete.
- We framed the remaining walls that could not be installed until
the concrete was done.
- We got the wall electrical inspection signed off on.
- A NEED: Do you know someone who
could help with drywall finishing? We are looking for someone who would like to volunteer and help us finish this piece of the project! Please contact us at 720-654-6075.
Financial Update - We continue to receive donations for our construction funds account specifically, and that has helped keep things moving as project expenses arise. We will need to continue to raise funds to cover the renovations of the building. If you would like to donate to this project, you can do so in a couple of ways. At the bottom of this newsletter is a link to our
website to donate electronically. There is also information on how to mail a check. Thank you for your consideration!
- As of 10/01/2023, our construction funds account was at $52,877.19. This number fluctuates as we use the funds toward supplies and the overall project.
- Aside from the construction fund, we will continually be raising money for our general fund as well. This helps us with everything else for Hope First that is not construction related. As we grow, the importance of monthly donors will be critical in order for us to cover monthly operating costs, including hiring and paying staff members. We appreciate those who have committed to this, and for those of you prayerfully considering
it. We have been incredibly blessed by all the support. It is humbling and we continue to see God's hand in everything. Thank you!

Donation/Fundraising Information Option #1-
Kings Soopers Community Rewards Program If you have a Kings Soopers grocery card, you can link your card to Hope First and we will receive a percentage back when you shop! In the past couple of months, as more people have signed up for the program, we have gotten approximately $100! Every little bit helps! To link a card, you can
log into your account at www.kingsoopers.com. Go to “My Account” under your name on the top right. Click on Community
Rewards on the left navigation. Search for Hope First Family Resource Center by name or use this ID- II976. Click enroll! That’s it! Prayer Requests and Praises Pray for our team as we continue to work on the building, raise funds, and take things one step at a time, trusting in God's timing and provision. Pray that God will move in the hearts of those who would become board members. Pray for our Board of Directors to have the perseverance to continue to follow God’s leading as He guides us in every way! We PRAISE God for those joining our board, partnering with our center, praying for us, and spreading the word. We are so very thankful! We PRAISE God for continuing to guide our steps and show us what is next for Hope First Family Resource Center! |
