May Updates! Board of Directors - We want to welcome a new board member! Nancy Stubbs was a mental health therapist for 35 years. She
specialized in working with women who had childhood trauma, as well as helping women with post-abortion counseling. She will bring a variety of talents and gifts to our board and we are so happy to have her!
- Our team has an official meeting one time per month, but communicate almost daily through emails and text
messages as we continue to work hard on everything we want to get accomplished. There are many moving pieces as we work toward fully opening our center. In the coming months, we will highlight different board members and what their role is on our team!
Building Renovations Update - We should have our permit from the city approved and ready to go within the next week. We are getting new windows for the building (which was desperately needed!). Randy, one of our board members, has been working hard on framing in prep for new
windows and we will be able to get them installed once we have everything approved by the city.
- The last newsletter we reported we had $27,000 raised for our renovations. We are excited to share we are now at $52,000! Thank you to everyone who has donated
to this cause! We are continuing to aim for $200,000 as our total renovation budget. This total is what we estimate we will need for all of the renovations- without any donated or discounted services. If you are interested in donating your services or offering a reduced rate, please let us know! See below for a list of people we are looking to partner with!

- If you would like to donate to the building renovations fund, you can do so in a couple of ways. At the bottom of this newsletter is a link to our website to donate electronically. There is also information on how to mail a check. Thank you for your consideration!

Community Partners - An important part of our non-profit will be our community and church partners. In the past month, we have had
some more churches reach out and let us know they officially want to support Hope First and have us be one of their community partners. We are humbled and grateful. This is truly all of us, as believers in Jesus, coming together to love these women, men, and their families!

Donation/Fundraising Information Option #1- Kings Soopers Community Rewards Program If you have a Kings Soopers grocery card, you can link your card to Hope First and we will receive a percentage back when you shop! In the past couple of months, as more people have signed up for the program, we have gotten approximately $100! Every little bit helps! To link a card, you can log into your account at www.kingsoopers.com. Go to “My Account” under your name on the top right. Click on Community Rewards on the left navigation. Prayer Requests and Praises Pray for our team as we continue to work on the building, raise funds, and take things one step at a time, trusting in God's timing and provision. Pray that God will move in the hearts of those who would become board members. Pray for our Board of Directors to have the perseverance to continue to follow God’s leading as He guides us in every way! We PRAISE God for those
joining our board, partnering with our center, praying for us, and spreading the word. We are so very thankful! We PRAISE God for continuing to guide our steps and show us what is next for Hope First Family Resource Center! |
