March Open Houses

• We had 3 successful open house dates in March. It was great seeing so many of you in person! Thank you for coming to check out the building, ask questions, and see what our team has been up to. 
• From the open house, we saw an increase in our building renovation funds, people interested in volunteering, and a generous supporter even dropped off a load of lumber for us to use! Thank you all for your generous hearts and encouragement.
• Welcome to anyone who is new to this newsletter! From the open house, we were able to add 20+ new people to the list! Thank you for signing up to receive our updates!

Building Renovation Project- Q&A for Hope First:

What is Hope First up to right now with the building?

• We are actively in our building renovation phase. We often get asked- when will we open? We will be able to open once we complete our building renovations. There is much to get done, but we are actively working at tackling the list and raising money to do so! We will be getting new windows installed soon, have been working on framing walls, caulking, landscaping, and more. And we were all excited when our Hope First Family Resource Center sign went up out front! (Photo at the end of this Q&A)

How much does Hope First need to raise to complete the renovations?

• We estimate our renovation project to cost $200,000. We have raised approximately $27,000 so far.
• Note: The total cost estimation is if we have to pay for everything- without any donated or discounted services. See below for a list of people we are looking to partner with!
• Our goal is to have the building completely ready before we open, to minimize any disruption in services to our clients once we can start welcoming people in. 

Are you raising money for other things, aside from the renovations?

• Yes! We will continually be raising money for our general operating fund. We have had faithful givers come alongside us and commit to a set monthly donation. Like any non-profit, this will be the lifeline to running our organization and supporting the funds needed to pay a director, an admin, pay for utilities, etc. 

How can I donate or help?

• There are a couple things we are humbly asking!
• Please consider specifically donating to our building renovation fund as we keep things moving. Every dollar helps. As we continue to raise the funds, we can continue to hire contractors to complete the various projects and check things off the list as we move closer to opening!
• If you, or someone you know, can help provide services/trades as a gift or at a discounted rate for our non-profit, please contact us! That will impact the $200,000 number. We know there may be people out there who want to donate their expertise and time to partner with us to help complete our projects. We have already had some wonderful people come alongside us to donate their time!
